THIS NIGHT I SAW A SET OF ADVERTISEMENTS FOR HSBC.

IT CONTAINED PHOTOS AND WORDS BENEATH EVERY PERSON ON THE IMAGE.

ONE BILLBOARD DISPLAYED THE TERM “FAMOUS”.

THE FALLOWING WAS AN IMAGE WITH THE TITLE “RICH” AND A THIRD JUST PUT “HAPPY”.

It occurred to me that these words are something that every entrepreneur has to choose from.

Famous

For those of you who want to be famous, the path seems to be to accumulate a lot of money and invest it into the idea that you’ve got and then climb up as quick as possible.

This dangerous approach yields a few celebrity managers and lot more people working in the shadows.

Rich

If your purpose is to become rich, the most stable approach is to be the majority owner in a prosperous little business.

Get yourself a sluggish corner where competition is smallest and hold 100% of the assets.

Silently develop your business without getting attention and without much of a fuss.

YOUR FACE WON’T BE THE COVER OF A MAGAZINE, BUT THE CHANCES OF CREATING WEALTH FOR YOURSELF ARE MUCH BETTER THAN 1 IN 10,000.

Happy

If you are not a believer in the quote that money can make a person happy, then you are in this category.

Recent surveys of hundreds of thousands of people, in over 150 countries, show that rich people report being more satisfied with their lives overall, but that the richer you become, the more money you need to increase your satisfaction further.

This is because people spend money on the most important things first.

Someone earning $100,000 per year is only a little more satisfied than someone earning $50,000.

The best available study found that each doubling of your income correlated with a life satisfaction 0.5 points higher on a scale of 1 to 10.

Depending on how it is used, money can create powerful, positive changes in the world.

Having money allows us to function more easily in the world, provide comfort in our lives and in the lives of others.

However, because attachment to money is based on fear, it always creates insecurity.

The desire to have more money, and thereby feel more secure, never ends.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP CAN MAKE YOU FAMOUS, RICH AND HAPPY.

THE ONLY PROBLEM IS, YOU JUST MIGHT HAVE TO PICK ONE.
