Nobody likes to use a public toilet, but often the situation is such that we are forced to use it.

When this happens, most of us use a trick to protect the health, but scientists say that it is quite wrong!

The vast majority of people will cover the toilette bowl with toilet paper, convinced that it will protect them form all the bacteria that lurk.

However, this assumption is completely wrong.

Three scientists from Britain are totally interested in this subject and have the same conclusion – just squat over the bowl can help you get out of the bathroom with a minimum number of bacteria and microbes

– When the surface of the bowel comes into contact with people, naturally, the microbes are transferred from the surface of our body – says Laura Bovater, professor at the University of East Anglia.

So, she says, when the paper cover the bowl, increase the available surface microbes, so the chances are virtually inevitable that some will get in contact with you.

Therefore, she says, the only really effective way to avoid that scenario is to learn crouching down over the toilette bowl.

If this is too hard, and you can always ask a friend for help.

In any case, keep in mind that you are a bunch of toilet paper on the toilet bowl will not protect you from bacteria!
