Have you ever noticed any rashes or irritation on your skin after using a new laundry detergent?
These detergents can clean the clothes as well as leave them smelling fresh and fragrant. However, they can also leave some synthetic chemical residues on the clothes, thus causing harm to your health.

What’s more, the University of Washington carried out a study suggesting that many popular laundry products contain a great amount of toxic ingredients.

The researchers conducting the study were actually shocked by the toxicity levels found in the tested laundry detergents.

They examined the ingredients included in 6 popular laundry detergents and found that they release about 100 volatile organic compounds that were not listed on the product labels.

That’s not all, almost all detergents released one or more carcinogenic air pollutants. The Environmental Protection Agency considers that none of these air pollutants have safe exposure level.

As a result of this, you should use a natural method to wash and clean your clothes. White vinegar seems to be the best natural solution for this purpose. Unlike most commercial laundry detergents, white vinegar offers many cleaning benefits and is free of toxic ingredients

It has been also found that the mixture of some salt and white vinegar has powerful antibacterial properties. In case you add a mixture of half a cup of white vinegar and 2 tsp. of salt to a regular-sized load, it will destroy any bacterial residue on the clothes.

The detergent residue left on the clothes usually lead to skin irritations. But, if you use white vinegar instead of laundry detergent, it will not leave any residue on your clothes.
